Abu Dhabi Fashion Sustainability Experience first edition, organized by GD Major Entertainment with the support of the swedish model Daniela Christiansson, has become a CO2 neutral event thanks to Allcot.

The event took place in April and Allcot has just finished calculating the carbon emissions generated, including the flights and the emissions of the staff stays at the Shangri-La Traders Hotel. Also, these emissions have been offset using carbon credits originating from The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), developed by UNFCCC.

A CDM project must provide emission reductions that are additional to what would otherwise have occurred. The projects must qualify through a rigorous and public registration and issuance process. Approval is given by the Designated National Authorities. Public funding for CDM project activities must not result in the diversion of official development assistance.

GD Major Entertainment presented its first ever Abu Dhabi Fashion Sustainability Experience, which mision was to organize a series of fashion shows over 4 days featuring international designers championing sustainability and eco-friendly fashion practices. The city of Abu Dhabi participated under this theme.
